• CHILDREN'S CHURCH
  Begining Oct 5, and will rotate with these volunteers: Nancy King, Lynda Bettinger, Karen Gardner, Cindy Jenkins, Wes Moser, Kathy Barnhart, Michelle Cornshucker and Shannon Perry. Children will leave just after Children's Moment. Children's Church will be during Pastor's sermon. The time spent will include singing, lesson based on God's Amazing Animals, and learning Bible verse. On communion Sunday, the children will return to the service for communion with their parents. Location will be the Parlor. Thank you for sharing your children with us. If you feel led to participate in this ministry to our children, please contact Nancy



• October 8^th thru October 31^st weekdays, the Pumpkin Patch Story Time will be from 9am to 2:30pm. Teachers please make reservations for your class outings as soon as possible thru the Church office, the schedule is filling up fast.



• Get Ready for Super Saturday! October 11^th We will begin at 9:00 a.m. with a Bake Sale and Craft Sale -- All homemade items and goodies! Then, at 4 p.m., we will have live music and home-made chili for all! Salt Creek will play, as well as other musicians. Come, greet our guests, have fun and eat chili! In conjunction with the Craft Sale on Super Saturday, we are selling raffle tickets on the quilt(s) that have been donated to us for that purpose. The tickets are $1 each or six for $5.



• CHURCH CONFERENCE
  October 14, 2008 6:00 p.m.Family Life Center
  All professing members of this congregation are encouraged to be a part of THE CHURCH CONFERENCE to vote on the new leadership for 2009, hear reports of the year, and have a conversation concerning future ministry through THE STRATIGIC PLAN with our District Superintendent, Dr. Bert Potts. There will be refreshments. Please make every effort to be present.
  This is a congregational meeting and everyone is encouraged to be present. Childcare available - call 865-2310.



• Kids Day at the Patch October 25^th includes a Jupiter Jump, Games, Face Painting, Hay Rides, Hot Dogs and Free Pop Corn from 11am to 3pm.



• The Annual Trunk n Treat October 31^st in the Church parking lot beginning at 5:30.



• The New Stillwater District Web Site is available Here.



• The Food Pantry needs your help! There are many hungry people in our area that truly need the provisions from the food pantry each month. They need peanut butter, jelly, macaroni & cheese, canned meats (tuna, chili, chicken, hams, etc…) and plastic grocery bags. Monetary donations may be made through the church by designating on your check or offering envelope how much of your donation should be given to the Food Pantry. Also, if you plant a garden, consider planting a row or two for the Pantry. Please help if you can, so we can continue to minister to the needy the way Christ would.



• Please save your aluminum cans for our Youth. These "Cans for Kids" will be recycled. About once per month, all the cans can be brought to the church, (please crush the cans first, if possible) and the youth will take them to the recycling center. Please bring only pop cans and aluminum for recycling. The steel or tin cans that veggies come in aren't usable for this. The proceeds from this will assist the youth in their planned service programs.



• Torch Update - Please help raise $$$ for Kairos Torch by saving your receipts for the following Community Club sponsors: Wal-mart, Sams, Quicktrip, McDonalds, to name a few! Place them in the box located at the back of the church or mail them to the church. Thank you to all who've been saving them thus far!
