• Travel Advisory!
  If you are coming to our Church here in Mannford. Be aware the road (Hwy 151) south of Keystone Dam is closed for bridge repair. The alternate route would be to exit 244 at the Highway 97 exit in Sand Springs and go south across the Arkansas River bridge to the traffic light and turn right onto Highway 51. Sorry for the inconvenience.



• Coming August 30^th To Mannford First United Methodist Church. The Wesley Putman Ministries.



• If you would like to assist in the erection of the new Church sign please contact Nancy or the Church office. We will also need volunteers to assist in maintaning the messages displayed on the sign.



• This Fall plans for home group meetings are in the works, if you would like to participate in some way or host a home group contact the Church office.



• We are having a different kind of Vacation Bible School this summer. The Church plans to minister to both children and their parents, by staging the VBS nights throughout the summer on Friday evenings, allowing the parents to have a Parent’s Night Out. The remaining dates are July 17^th and August 7^th from 5:30 until 8:30 each of those nights, using great Vacation Bible School curriculum and activities. We will give the children supper and have lots of music, recreation and crafts for them to do.



• The Food Pantry needs your help! There are many hungry people in our area that truly need the provisions from the food pantry each month. They need peanut butter, jelly, macaroni & cheese, canned meats (tuna, chili, chicken, hams, etc…) and plastic grocery bags. Monetary donations may be made through the church by designating on your check or offering envelope how much of your donation should be given to the Food Pantry. Also, if you plant a garden, consider planting a row or two for the Pantry. Please help if you can, so we can continue to minister to the needy the way Christ would.



• Please save your aluminum cans for our Youth. These "Cans for Kids" will be recycled. About once per month, all the cans can be brought to the church, (please crush the cans first, if possible) and the youth will take them to the recycling center. Please bring only pop cans and aluminum for recycling. The steel or tin cans that veggies come in aren't usable for this. The proceeds from this will assist the youth in their planned service programs.



• Torch Update Thanks to all who have been saving receipts for Torch! Thank you and please continue saving! There is a new list of sponsors on the table in the back of the church. If you are interested in volunteering, please see Joe or Lori.
